The Promethean Media at the University of Wisconsin Superior (UWS) is a student-run newsroom that produces TV broadcast, podcast, newspaper, website, and social media.  

Entering the Fall 2025 semester, we have eighteen people on staff with 8 students on the editorial staff. The Promethean looks forward to a successful school year reporting for UWS and the Superior Community. 

Editorial Staff 

Editor in Chief – Hannah Hutton 

Hello, my name is Hannah Hutton! This is my sophomore year here at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and I’m the Editor-in-Chief for the Promethean. I’m also on the UWS Track and Field team. I enjoy physical activities, writing, and being with people! I look forward to another great year here. 

 

 

Web Editor and Assistant Newspaper Editor – Ella Hill

Hello, UW-Superior! My name is Ella Hill, the assistant editor for the Promethean Newspaper and the Editor for the Website. I am a Senior in Public Leadership and Changemaking major with a minor in Multimedia Journalism. I love being outdoors, volunteering, and cuddling my cat. I’m also a campus ambassador out of the Admissions Office.  I look forward to working and reporting for campus this next year. If you see me, please say hi. I hope to see you soon!   

Co-Sports Editor – Gus Schupp 

Hello, my name is Gus and I’m in my 4th year of school. I’m a communication major, with a minor in Multimedia Journalism. I’m from Chanhassen, Minnesota. In my free time I love to watch sports, and I like all the Minnesota professional teams. I also like to collect autographs and collectibles from the pro teams of Minnesota.

My name is Abby Hoffman, and I am a senior here on campus majoring in Communications with a minor in Business. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, creative writing, and hanging out with friends. This is my first semester with the Promethean Newspaper and Media team, and I am excited to learn and make new connections!

Hello everyone! My name is Noa Mikami, a senior at UW-Superior majoring in Communication with a minor in Multimedia Journalism. I am from Hyogo, Japan, and love traveling. I enjoy exploring new cultures and meeting new people from different backgrounds. I am excited to make the most of my final semester!

My name is Alicia Zoltowski, I am currently a Junior Majoring in Communications: Multimedia Journalism. In my free time I like going for hikes, analyzing horror films, and hanging out with my cat Oliver. I am super excited to be a part of the Promethean!

I am Brendyn Otradovec, a Psychology major from Cumberland, WI. I am the Layout and Design editor. I enjoy playing video games and writing creative fiction. I am a member of the United States Navy Reserve as a Mass Communication Specialist.

Hello! I am Jon Pearson, one of the Promethean TV editors and resident food reviewer. I’m a senior in film and theatre and a minor in communication. I love producing content, whether it’s film, theatre, or newscasts. In my spare time, I like watching movies and trying new foods.

Jennifer Cadotte

My name is Jennifer Cadotte. I am a student at UW-Superior majoring in Communication, Media and Theatre minoring in Multimedia Journalism. I am a distance learning student who has been working toward earning a degree for almost 30 years.   

My educational journey started with the intention of learning how communication can improve my conflict management skills. As studies progressed, it was clear that this field would also help in professional capacities. I have worked within the grant world for over 20 years as a writer and manager but was recently transferred into a role as a Public Relations Specialist for my tribe, the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. 

Family has always been my biggest motivation. I am the mother of three amazing children and 6 grandchildren. My biggest accomplishment in life would be as a role model demonstrating that it’s never too late to achieve your goals. My motto is…Work Hard Play Harder! 

 

Liberti Jonas-Jongebloed 

My name is Liberti Jonas-Jongebloed, I am currently an online student with the University of Wisconsin-Superior majoring in journalism. I am from Waupun Wisconsin, but I currently live in Whitewater and work as a kindergarten paraprofessional in Jefferson.

I spent three years at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse where I worked for the Racquet Press, the campus’s online news source. In my free time, I often upcycling apparel and carving stamps for my small business or camping anywhere from Door County to southern Wisconsin. I enjoy writing in every form, other publications of mine can be found on my blog: everythingandanythings.com 

 

Georgia Youngblood 

My name is Georgia Youngblood, and I am a Senior Communications major on campus with a minor in marketing. I am from Ray, Michigan and am on the UWS softball team. 

Emily Tews 

Hello Superior! My name is Emily Tews, and I am a Freshman Multimedia Journalism major. In my free time, I love reading, writing, and listening to all kinds of music. I am so excited to be able to get to know students and staff and be able to help tell their stories on campus this semester! 

 

Aiden Salma 

I’m a Communication major at UW–Superior. I’m really interested in photography and travel, and I love combining both to tell visual stories. 

Maison Wiberg 

I’m majoring in Muti media journalism and a minor in writing, I’m a senior, I’m from superior Wisconsin, some of my interests are film making and writing story’s.
