Ryan Peterson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) and Joey Cummings (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) each fired rounds of 1-over-par 72 on the final day of the Saint John’s Spring Invitational.
It was a special day Saturday for the Yellowjacket softball team, as the program celebrated a trio of seniors on Senior Day 2021.
The UW-Superior men’s and women’s tennis teams were in action against Minnesota Morris on Sunday, April 25. The men’s team swept the UMAC foe 9-0, while the women won three out of their nine matches.
The UW-Superior men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the Drake Alternative hosted by Saint Mary’s at Ochrymowycz Field on Saturday, April 24. The men won their event as a team, totaling 168 points. The women, meanwhile, finished in third, totaling 118 points on the day.
Entering play Saturday, the Yellowjackets had lost 11 of their last 13 games, including six in a row. In that time, the offense has struggled to find its stride, having produced just nine runs in those six losses.
