Jacket Jingle had a variety of pizza choices available at Thirsty Pagan Brewing

Thirsty Pagan Brewing was packed with Yellowjacket students, graduates, and alumni on Dec. 1 for the third annual Jacket Jingle—a free celebratory event with food, drinks, live music and more. UWS Alumni Relations Director Heather Thompson stated that Jacket Jingle is, “an event to celebrate December grads, is planned by recent alumni, and is meant to bring the two together; it’s open to all UWS seniors as well.”

The event was planned by the UWS Alumni Association and ‘Jacket GOLD—GOLD being an acronym for “Grads of the Last Decade.” Both associations focus on planning events for and building connections between current UWS students and alumni. Thompson emphasized that the goal of ‘Jacket GOLD and the events they plan, “is to keep that connection; we want [alumni] to feel like they can come back.” The Alumni Association typically holds 20-30 events a year; while many of them are geared towards alumni, all UWS students are always welcome.

An event similar to Jacket Jingle will be held on Thursday, May 18 at The Tap on Tower for Spring and Summer grads—all grads, students, and alumni are invited to come celebrate. Graduates who are interested in getting more involved with the Alumni Association or ‘Jacket GOLD can contact Heather Thompson at hthomps9@uwsuper.edu.
