The University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) Healthy and Happy People Club, also known as the Health and Human Performance (HHP) Club, encourages student membership and presentations in professional associations throughout the HHP majors.
Last year, the club took a trip to Milwaukee, Wis. for a sports management conference. The conference provided insight on what an ideal day in the workplace would look like for someone with in the field. In addition to the conference, UWS students also attended a Milwaukee Bucks basketball game.
Emily Wilkie, an HHP Club member spoke about the impacts of being in the club, “My experience with the HHP Club has been really good. It’s a good group of students and professors.”
“It’s kind of the staple of the HHP department. It’s an all-around great environment to be in. The professors and advisers really help out with everything and you can go to them about anything,” said Luke King, president of the club.
The club is looking to repeat their successful Milwaukee trip this year by attending the same conference. Members are now planning fundraisers.
To join the HHP Club, students should contact Robin Lisdahl, a member of the departments administrative staff. The club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 12:15 p.m. in MWC 2440.
