Is SUPERIOR WAFFLES a buzz the rest? Here is my criteria to see if these waffles are truly superior: the aesthetic, the taste, and overall experience. The first thing I always look at when entering a restaurant is the aesthetic. The building itself is a fun blend between cute classic diner and sleek modern convenience.

Outside of the building’s looks, the owners Nat and Cal Harris kept the environment lively by making sure to engage with all their patrons. Nat said that their favorite waffle is a tie between the Banana Bliss and Apple Crisp, and Cal’s favorite is the Sconie.

I could clearly see that they have built a great community in Superior. After being battered up, I decided to order my food. When looking at the menu, I noticed a splendid variety of different types of waffles from sweet to savory.

I decided to go with the Chicken and Waffles with Hot Honey Sauce and to drink I got The Tiger. The drink was a half and half mix of lemonade and raspberry tea. It had a sweet and tart flavor that complemented my main course well. After taking a few sips of my drink, my food was delivered to my table.

In the first bite I attempted to get all the ingredients: chicken, hot honey, and waffle. The chicken was of the consistency of a high-quality fast-food chicken tender. The hot honey was exceptionally sweet with a small hint of spicy which I think is perfect for the palette of the Midwest.

Lastly, the waffle: their bread and butter. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best waffle I have ever had in my life. It was rich, buttery, sweet with a controlled flavor, and fluffy inside and crispy outside. Overall, this place is pretty sweet.
