If you’re looking for a way to get outdoors but don’t have the right equipment, Superior Adventures Gear Rental has you covered.

Nestled in the back of the Marcovich Wellness Center, Superior Adventures offers members of both the UW-Superior community, as well as the surrounding Superior area with outdoor equipment.

Ranging from camping gear such as sleeping bags and tents, to water travel equipment including canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and winter sports equipment such as skis and snowshoes.

The rental center offers a daily rate, a three-day rate, as well as a seven-day rate.

Those who are associated with the UWS community receive a discounted rate on equipment.

According to Sean Monnier, the Recreation Program Coordinator on campus, the center is currently in the process of being renovated.

“A lot of our camping equipment was, you know, from the nineties and early 2000s, so now we’re updating all of that stuff, so we’re getting brand new equipment,” said Monnier.

Monnier also went mentioned that there are some other changes coming as well. “Our ski bindings are being updated, and we have a skate sharpener that we’re going to start offering,” Monnier said.

For more information regarding rates and the equipment that is offered, visitors can visit the university’s website, the MWC front desk, or stop into the rental center in MWC 1438, Mon through Fri, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
