Starting Monday Feb. 14 and ending Friday Feb. 18, student involvement has been working on some self-care opportunities for University of Wisconsin-Superior students.

The week kicked off on Valentine’s day giving blood the entire day at Northwood Technical College’s Entrance 1. It was a partnered event with Memorial Blood Centers and they saw 23 units of blood donated.

Tuesday saw Build-A-Buddy. This event took place in the YU, many students got themselves a stuffed animal companion with appropriate Yellowjacket merchandise.

Wednesday saw the Hot Beverage and Self-Care Prize Wheel.

Thursday night saw Painting Your Own Pottery hosted with the Pottery Burn.

Finally on Friday a 24-hour Valentine’s Trivia Kahoot was available for anyone to participate.

Yellowjacket Activities Crew director, Allison Garver commented on how she was glad to help pull all of this off with her student staff. Garver also wants to remind people that on Thursday Feb. 24, Chaz Cardigan will perform live in the YU Atrium for anyone who’s interested.
