Six UW-Superior men’s cross-country runners officially earned All UMAC honors following the Yellowjackets’ fourth Upper Midwest Athletic Conference championship Saturday at Nemadji Golf Club in Superior.
First-team honors went to seniors Tyler Finger and Derrick Moe and freshman Michael Butterfield while second-team plaudits went to freshmen Nate Huju and Kieran Johnson and sophomore Mitchell Hammer.
Finger was second overall in 27:02, Moe was third in 27:17.3 and Butterfield was fifth in 28:00.6. Huju was 11th overall in 28:50.6. Johnson and Hammer were 15th and 16th in 29:03.7 and 29:06.1, respectively.
Johnson was also the ‘Jackets’ representative on the UMAC Sportsmanship Team. UWS also won the UMAC title in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Superior returns to action in the NCAA Division III North Regional on Nov. 13 in Colfax, Wis.
