The University of Wisconsin-Superior Veterans and Nontraditional Students Center will be hosting a veterans week, starting Veterans Day, Monday Nov. 11, 2019.
Nov. 11 will begin with a ceremony 11 a.m. – noon in the Yellowjacket Atrium.
Nov. 12 and 13 will be Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes in the YU Atrium 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Nov. 12 will also have a presentation by John Kriesel noon – 1 p.m. in the YU Great Room.
Nov. 13 will have a Veteran Q-and-A Forum in the YU Atrium noon – 1 p.m.
Nov. 14 will have Green Zone Training in the William ‘Pope’ Wright Jr. Student Center 11:30 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.
Nov. 15 will have Warrior Games 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Markovich Wellness Center.
Monte Stewart, the VNSC student services coordinator, said, “At UW-Superior, we are proud to recognize all our veterans and have designed an entire week around acknowledging what they have accomplished and continue to accomplish in our communities. We are the home of the free because of the brave, so it is important for us to recognize our current student veterans and our veteran alumni.”
