Bentleyville faced a rough start to their 2025 holiday season. On Oct. 23, 2025, the
Duluth Police Department posted on Facebook stating that on Oct. 19, 2025, Bentleyville was Vandalized with “graffiti.” The department expressed how disappointing this event is to the city. The city cleaned up the graffiti quickly, but the costs were extensive.
Even with this setback, Bentleyville still opened their doors to the public on
Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. On Instagram the light show shared their success stating, “What a weekend” and “Can’t wait to see you there.”

With the winter storm Bentleyville unfortunately had to close their doors on November 26 due to the damages faced. Bentleyville states on Facebook and Instagram
“For the safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff, the site will remain closed.” The
lightshow a day later posts on Instagram the great news of being open on Thanksgiving
calling it a “Thanksgiving miracle!”

They shared a collage of pictures of their crew fixing the damage and restoring the light show. Even with the multiple setbacks Bentleyville has faced during their 22nd season being open, they are persistent on not allowing these setbacks to hurt them. Bentleyville will close their doors for the season on Dec. 27, 2025.
