More space, more questions: Here’s how campus is reworking parking to fit the crowd. A utilization study was done on campus regarding parking lots. It was based on this study that has caused the campus to make parking changes.

The main changes are converting some of the reserved and Park Mobile spots into regular staff/student permit parking spaces. Within Lot Seven, which is the parking lot for Holden Fine Arts/Jim Dan Hill Library, is where you will see a reduction in both reserved and park mobile spots, and the other spaces will be converted into student/staff permit spaces.

In Lot twelve, which is the parking lot between Old Main and Swenson Hall, the lower-level spots are being converted into staff and student parking spaces, while the upper level will be reserved and Park Mobile spaces.

In Lot Eleven, Yellowjacket Union, the spaces closest to North 16th Street that are reserved spots are being converted into staff/student permit spaces.

Lastly, Lot Two, between Burger King and Pilgrim Lutheran Church, the spaces along North 16th street on the side closest to Pilgrim Lutherans church will be converted into staff and student permit parking spaces.

Be aware of the new locations that are available for regular permit parking and Park Mobile parking. The changes to the parking lots are designed to help reduce the size of Lot Two and help save on maintenance costs. Please contact Parking Services if you have any questions regarding these changes.
