Graduating this semester? Congratulations! Did you know that the Alumni & Friends Foundation put on a party to celebrate fall graduates? Coined the “Jacket Jingle” after its holiday theme, the party was held at the Belknap Lounge on Dec. 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Attendees could participate in festive games, a scavenger hunt, and give aways, as well as enjoying free food and drinks. Heather Thompson, the Director of Alumni Relations for the Alumni & Friends Foundation, said that the party is a great way for new graduates to get introduced to alumni events.

The Jacket Jingle isn’t the only party for new grads. GOLD Rush is the spring equivalent to the Jacket Jingle. The time and location isn’t always the same, so be sure to check the campus calendar for more information.

In addition to celebrating new graduates, the Alumni & Friends Foundation puts on events throughout the year. One of the upcoming events is going to a Madison Capitols hockey game in Middleton, Wis. Thompson said that the Foundation plans events local to UW-Superior, as well as other areas where there are pockets of UWS alum. The Foundation hosts a variety of events from arts and crafts to sporting events, making it a good resource for alumni to stay in contact with UWS while doing something fun.
