If you are a college student who enjoys burgers and saving money, then the Anchor Bar and Grill is the place for you.

On the north end of Tower, Ave. the Anchor Bar and Grill is a small bar with a nautical theme too, with a wide variety of decorations. The bar and grill go through 1000-1500 pounds of beef a week to make their famous burgers. According to the menus, their number one selling burger is the bacon burger.

The Anchor Bar and Grill builds a college student environment with music playing over the speakers and slot machines spinning.

To keep the affordable prices, the establishment accepts cash-only. ATM is available for public use for those who go cashless.

Drew Kerner and Ryan Marcyjanik joined me at the Anchor Bar and Grill to taste test their famous affordable burger which was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, a show that airs on the Food Network channel and is hosted by Guy Fieri.

After observing the environment of the Anchor Bar and Grill it was time to order one of their famous burgers. Out of the main different burger combinations I decided to order the T.W.A Whaleback burger, which is a double cheeseburger with bacon and BBQ sauce. This burger with a side of fries’ costs 9 dollars even.

The food was out within twenty minutes and the tables were full throughout the bar. The T.W.A Whaleback did not disappoint as it had a great taste and was cooked well.

Overall, The Anchor Bar and Grill had a great environment and excellent food. This is a perfect restaurant for any college student who is looking to leave the restaurant full while still saving money.
