Originally from the Duluth area Siedlecki, at age seven found herself participating in the production of “Prairie Fires Program” hosted by the college St. Scholastica. They did little plays, and she did little roles, building up her experience. This was when she discovered her love of theater.
The one act Siedlecki is getting too direct is “15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play” by Alan Haehnel. This one act is about 15 kids telling you not to do a play while putting on a play themselves. “It’s really goofy, it’s really kind of radical, and kind of out there,” Siedlecki said.
Siedlecki had her first taste of directing when she was a part of the Women in Theatre Festival at the Playhouse with a play called the G-Complex.
A big take away Siedlecki has had from this experience is learning to manage a more compassionate and artistic way of leadership versus being “bossy” and how to adjust to her environment.
The show runs from November 21,22,23, with tickets found on the UWS Theatre page.
