BINGO! On Feb. 26, the University of Wisconsin-Superiors Yellowjacket Activities Center (YAC) hosted Winter Bingo in the Yellowjacket Union Atrium. There were fewer people that attended than at Merch Bingo, but the suspense and excitement was still there.
Prizes ranged from card games, popcorn, socks, blankets, hand warmers, and more. There were two to three winners per round, giving more people a chance to win, with a total of sixteen winners. There were many ties that took place which were broken by rock, paper, scissors, but even if you didn’t win the rock, paper, scissors match, you still won UW-Superior swag.
A few of the games were more suspenseful than others, such as Blackout, where you clear the entire card. No one was getting Bingo for the longest time, many were close with only two or three numbers needed, when suddenly- three people all shouted bingo at once! It was an unexpected three-way tie.
The next bingo (Twin Ports Bingo) is on Mar. 13, where you can win amazing prizes from local businesses and unique items from the Twin Ports. After that there is Grown-ish Bingo, where you could win house supplies or room decorations.
